Careers in Neuroscience

Before registration begins for the Spring 2022 semester, we at Rutgers BRAIN want to help you out and provide advice for your time in and out at Rutgers. We hope that this meeting will prove helpful for you when you choose your career path. Before I begin, as a reminder, we have a collaboration event with ALS TDI on November 19th from 8:00 PM - 9:30 PM. They are holding a Trivia Night and tickets are about $6.50. All profit will go to ALS TDI.

The job positions we've talked about during this meeting are the following: Speech and Language Therapist, Research Scientist (we also promoted our Researchers GroupMe! Check the PowerPoint presentation for the invite), School Psychologist, Neurosurgeon, Clinical Psychologist, and other job positions. Each career path presented we mentioned the educational experience needed, the roles they take up, their day-to-day work, and how to even get into that career path to begin with.

After talking about these jobs, we talked about how to register for classes and what opportunities are provided here at Rutgers. We broke down the registration process for classes, showcasing all the different sites that can be used to help prepare our BRAINers for the next semester. For more information on the opportunities at Rutgers, check out our PowerPoint.
